Fort Myers Beach is located in southwest Florida between Punta Rassa and Naples. Fort Myers Beach occupies all of Estero Island, and is known as the "world's safest beach". With much more moderate prices then the Sanibel and Captiva area. The intersection of San Carlos and Esteros Boulevards is an area lined with bars, restaurants, beach apprel shops, souvenir shops and much more. The rest of Estero Island is more laid back and quiet, with oceanside cottages, quiet motels and beautiful beach condos. Fort Myers Beach offers para sailing, golf, swimming, sailing, fishing, kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling. Fort Myers Beach also offers wave runner and boat rentals, as well as tours to view the dolphins. This bay is the area's largest commercial fishing port, and is an official state aquatic preserve. Just south of Fort Myers Beach is the Lover's Key State Recreation Area. There are many beach access points all along the island, and you are never more then just a few moments walk from enjoying the beach known for its many different sea shells and Sand Dollars.
